Where have I been? ...

Well, its fair to say its been a very long time since I began a new post on here - 3 years... and the rest! I've been gone for many reasons; school (gcse's and a levels), lack of ideas, the list goes on - but I've decided I want to start again. I've created a youtube channel also, the link will be at the end of the post if you wish to subscribe - I'll be posting a range of different videos from my monthly faves to hauls and makeup tutorials. But for this post, I've decided to do a 'tag' because without getting to know me how can you follow my journey on here as well as on youtube. 

So here it is, the 'get to know me tag' - 30 questions nobody ever asks...

Are you named after anyone? My middle name (Rebecca) was the name of the midwife that delivered me as a baby, so therefore I'd have to say yes!

When was the last time you cried? A few days ago actually.. I was watching The Longest Ride - its a Nicholas Sparks film, what do you expect?!

Do you have kids? Nooo! I'm way too young for that.

If you were another person, would you be a friend of yourself? I'm not sure, I think I'm quite an approachable person so I don't see why I wouldn't want to be friends with myself.

Do you use sarcasm a lot? I try not to...

What’s the first thing you notice about people? Eyes and hands!

What is your eye colour? Dark brown.

Scary movie or happy endings? I like them both! (But I can only watch scary movies with another person)

Favorite smells? I like really fresh and fruity smells, my favourite scent is 'magic in the air' from B&BW

What’s the furthest you’ve ever been from home? My recent trip to NYC!

Do you have any special talents? I can make my nostrils disappear by breathing in air really quickly - I don't know if its weird or a talent per se.

Where were you born? I was born in Gateshead just outside of Newcastle.

What are your hobbies? I don't really have a hobby but I'd say this is my main one.

Do you have any pets? Yes I have a sprocker spaniel called Harvey.

Do you have any siblings? No! I'm an only child and I love it!

What do you want to be when you grow up? Well hopefully when I finish Uni I'll be on my way to becoming an English teacher in a secondary school.

Who was your first best friend? She was called Caitlin and we were inseparable all throughout primary school!

How tall are you? I'm around 5"7/8

Funniest moment throughout School? Probably the year 13 leavers ceremony - its the last memory from there!

How many countries have you visited? Around 10!

What was your favourite/worst subject in High School? My favourite subject was Spanish and my least favourite was PE.. who likes PE?!

What is your favourite drink? Animal? Perfume? My favourite drink is Fanta Grape but you can only get it abroad, my favourite animal is an Elephant, my favourite perfume is daisy by Marc Jacobs.

What would you (or have you) name your children? If I have children I love the name Rahnee for a girl and Cassius for a boy.

What Sports do you play/Have you played? I don't do sport..

Who are some of your favourite YouTubers? My absolute favourite youtuber is 'sophdoesnails' she's so genuine I really enjoy her videos.

How many Girlfriends/Boyfriends have you had? I've only ever had one serious boyfriend.

Favorite memory from childhood? Going on holiday with my nan and grandpa every year to Gran Canaria, its like my second home!

How would you describe your fashion sense? Very casual.

What phone do you have? (iOS v Android?) iPhone 7!

Tell us one of your bad habits! My worst habit is pretending to listen, I cant help it i just zone out and completely forget what people were talking to me about!

My Favourite Makeup Products of 2014!

Long time no see, eh? I don't really know what happened or why I stopped posting because I bloody love it! Somehow, 2014 is over and now 2015 is here - I cant believe it either. Here is my round up of my favourite makeup products of 2014!

I'll start with base, and the absolute star for me this year has been Bobbi Browns' Skin Foundation with an SPF of 15. I have the shade 3.5 Warm Beige and its the perfect colour match. The foundation is on the watery side, which I prefer and it is very buildable. I find that it is very hydrating on the skin and doesn't cause spots to occur on my skin, which is normally the case with foundations that have SPF. Total winner!

Moving onto concealer, the all rounder for me is the Rimmel London Wake me up concealer. For redness, spots and under eye this has been my saviour for the past 7 months and I don't know what I would've done without it.

For the cheeks, there is only one product for me and that's the Naked Flushed palette by Urban Decay. This was released around Summer/Autumn I believe and god I do love it. It consists of a bronzer, highlight and blush which are all beautiful colours and when travelling or staying somewhere where you wouldn't have your full makeup set it is like flawless cheeks in a trio!

Onto eyes and the winning eyeshadow for me is L'Oreals Color Riche L'Ombre Pure eyeshadow in Nude 200 'Over the Taupe'. This is a beautiful pinkish taupe colour which I think is very similar to sidecar from the naked 1 palette. The formula of all these shadows is incredible and they don't crease on me! 

For eyeliner there can only be one, and that is Rimmel Londons Scandaleyes waterproof eyeliner, its the best thing I've ever bought. I only use this for my upper lash line but it stays all day and never seems to print itself on my lower lash line. Its super black too!

I'm a girl who loves their brows, and this product has stood out all year long and I've bought so many and I'm obsessed! Soap and Glorys' Brow Archery pencil works wonders for me and is the perfect shade match for me! I use the waxy side to fill in the front of my brows and then the felt tip end to get the sharp end of my brows right! But it doesn't make them look too drawn on.. I love it! To set my brows in place, I use Rimmel Londons Brow this Way clear brow gel, it does the job and its cheap so I cant complain. Its a good consistency, so it doesn't make the brows stiff or crunchy (ew) like some drugstore gels can.

My mascara favourite is Maybelline The Rocket Volume Express mascara, its the best drugstore mascara in my opinion! Both the normal and waterproof mascara keep a curl and don't smudge below the eye. The wand is plastic which doesn't bother me and it seems to grip and lengthen and volumise the lashes!

Last but definitely not least is lipstick! I've narrowed it down to my most used lipstick and the one i feel most comfortable wearing.. MAC Velvet Teddy! Its a beautiful matte brownish pink nude, and I just love it. MAC lipsticks always seem to stay on my lips the best, so for £15.50 they're so worth it and I can't wait for my collection to grow further!
